Almost a year have passed. I can still remember all those campaign jingles of the politicians as well as their slogans and their agendas. Each one of them are saying the same things over and over again. The same promises, the same lines.

Now, the elections is over. The new administration is almost on their first anniversary in power.

The administration of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III was bragging to change the system of politics in the Philippines specially the corruption tradition of most politicians.

Well, I almost felt a sign of relief. Until a few days ago (should I say a few months ago?). I don't know if this is an omen for the administration or what.

We all seen a string of vehicular accidents. Then flooding in some region and frost in the high mountains. Okay, maybe it's all just a coincidence. But in recent days we all heard the news about Bus bombing in Makati, construction site accident in Makati which resulted in 10 deaths, a string of price hikes, tool hikes in NLEX, SLEX and Skyway. Fare hikes in both the MRT and the LRT, carnappings with murder and the very latest one, the newest fiasco in the senate which is in relation with the controversy of corruption in the armed forces.

What is now happening in the Philippines right now?

Is this the " Matuwid na Landas " ( straight way or the right way ) that this administration is promising about?

I'm no lawyer nor a politician. But certainly I can really see that this is not what we are expecting in this administration.

This is not normal anymore. In fact it's getting worse. I don't see that our country id being steered into the right path. Little by little we are moving farther away from our goals.

It is very evident that the current administration is weak.

Before the administration will brag about that they are way much better than the Arroyo administration they should think it thrice. Because as early as now, many of us is really seeing that the Philippines is getting worse than before.

As a conclusion, I can say that from bad we are getting worse.
